The deficiency of vitamin D in the human body can lead to a number of problems. The following are the most prominent symptoms of deficiency of Vitamin D in the body:
Children need a good amount of vitamin D. Outdoor sports that involve exposure to sunlight are propagated as an effective way of getting the adequate amount of Vitamin d for children. Ad deficiency in the early growing years may lead to bone deformity and related disorders in children.

Vitamin D deficiency causes the immune system to become weak. This may cause some prominent symptoms such as respiratory disorders, viral fevers and other allergies and infections.


Vitamin D is also linked to the mental health of an individual. Deficiency may cause depression. It may cause a person to become moody and irritated.

The dental health of a person is linked to the amount of Vitamin D in the body. A deficiency may lead to gum diseases, brittle teeth, cavities and other dental problems.  It may cause a host of related problems like bad breath and a coated tongue.


Deficiency of vitamin D may also lead to more severe diseases. Thus, it may cause a person to have hypertension, asthma attacks, cardiac problems and bone diseases. It may also cause chronic diseases like multiple sclerosis, immune disorders, cancers, Crohn’s disease and other disorders.


There are many disorders that can be caused due to the deficiency of Vitamin d in the body. thus it is important to have an adequate amount of Vitamin D in our daily diet. this is the only way to ensure a healthy and long life.
